Myd unveils “Since You’ve Been Gone,” a nocturnal electronic interlude

With “Since You’ve Been Gone,” Myd continues his exploration of electronic music that is danceable, melodic, and resolutely night-oriented. The track appears on Mydnight, the French artist’s second studio album, released on August 29, 2025, by Ed Banger Records.

After Born a Loser, released in 2021, Myd wanted to reconnect with his DJ roots and the energy of the clubs. Mydnight is conceived precisely as a nocturnal album, capable of working on the dance floor while retaining the artist’s penchant for textures, melodies, and studio experimentation. The album navigates between house and disco, with particularly polished production and grooves that give the record a true identity.

Within this soundscape, “Since You’ve Been Gone” brings a slightly more melancholic touch. The track plays on the contrast between a driving electronic production and a more introspective atmosphere. The title evokes absence and memory, giving this nocturnal interlude a more emotional dimension. It’s Myd’s way of reminding us that club music can also be synonymous with escapism and nostalgia.

Positioned as the twelfth track on Mydnight, just before “The Wizard,” the song arrives almost like a final journey before the album’s conclusion. Its writing fits perfectly with the album’s philosophy: to make people dance, but also to tell a story through sound.

With Mydnight, Myd confirms his desire to reconnect electronic pop, house, and club culture. “Since You’ve Been Gone” is a perfect example: an elegant, groovy, and slightly dark track that naturally finds its place in a late-night electronic playlist.

Ideally listened to as the night begins… or when memories resurface.
